Pick a fruit. Cut it in half, open it, and inside you’ll find a seed
We take that seed and we plant it in the ground

A big tree will grow, reaching to the sky

From that tree, a fruit grows, and inside that fruit there’s another seed

I take that seed. Plant it in the ground

And from that plant many fruits grow, and those fruits gives us lots of seeds
Let’s plant them

I take those seeds. Plant them in the ground,

A forest will grow, reaching to the sky

And from those trees many more fruits will grow, and from them many more seeds, and we plant them once again

I take those seeds. Plant them in the ground

This whole forest came out of a single seed
That’s what you can do with one seed

Toma una fruta. Ábrela por la mitad, y adentro, encontrarás una semilla.

123 Andrés are Andrés and Christina, the Latin Grammy-winning duo with catchy songs and a high-energy show in Spanish and English that gets kids and families singing and dancing.

Their songs and videos are used in early childhood and elementary classrooms across the United States and abroad, and they have delighted live audiences in the United States, Puerto Rico, Panama, Mexico, and Colombia, at venues including Lollapalooza (Chicago), Kennedy Center (Washington, DC), Symphony Space (NYC), and the Coliseo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Andrés grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, and learned how to play the guitar from his father as a child. He studied clarinet at the Conservatory and had his first studio experience at age eight. He went on to earn a doctorate in music and won first prize in the National Composition Contest in Colombia for one of his early songs.

Christina was raised in the United States in a Spanish-speaking family hailing from Colombia, and studied theater and dance as a child. After serving as a classroom teacher in public schools and earning a Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, she found her mission teaching through music.

123 Andrés maintains an active calendar of live concerts and joy-filled shows for student and family audiences that get everyone singing, moving, and learning. Their first children’s book, due out August 2020, is being published by Scholastic. They also have four acclaimed CDs under their belts.
